Famous Clowns?
« on: July 24, 2009, 07:48:47 AM »

What famous clowns exist, or have existed? Everyone knew Bozo, but who else was there? I can't think of anyone else.

He's a shameless pitch-man, but how about Ronald McDonald?

Do you think that Charlie Chaplin and The Marx Brothers were influenced by traditional clowns as they developed their styles of comedy?

I'm not sure about Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers, but I did want to comment on Ronald McDonald.  I was never really impressed with him from the McDonald comercials, until I saw a live Ronald McDonald in action.  I did an event for a McDonalds last year and they had the Ronald McDonald that services our area and I was so impressed.  He was entertaining, personable and funny!  Totally changed my viewpoint.  Smiley
