Here you go Mom and Alison. I tried a cheek art dragon I do on myself first, but had to try again. The brush was making some of my detail lines too heavy, Here is a cheek art rocket I did on my sun from a couple of angles. The eyeliner is a hit! I like the freehand freedom. I think I might just leave the eyeliner as the out line for a crisper image.

Yep! That is my son in his underoos, Scooby Doo to be specific. He just got up and I had to bribe him quick.

Here's my go at a Spongebob one. I used the eyeliner and then outlined with black glitter and then filled in the colors. Came out kind of patchy and I made the bottom with too big of a waviness, but I still kind of liked it.

I love these. I love your idea of how to skip the stencils. But I still wonder about 'waiting for glue to dry'? Do you just paint on the glue, sprinkle on the color, and then paint on the next section of glue - no waiting between steps?

I just do one section at a time--and I paint a very light layer of the glue so it dries fast. And I do the smaller areas first so they dry more quickly
Henna designs are great ideas as well.--there mandela patterns etc are great ideas for tattoos--fill in some of the sections with color
Re-speed--it does take time but with the stencils, the speed factor wasn't important because the end product didn't look as nice

What about cleaning the glue-brush?

I've given up on the idea of completely cleaning the detail glue brush for painted on designs. Even with 99% alcohol. So, I clean it and leave it still a bit hard and pointy, but it seems to still work for detail work.

The closest thing I've had to work is to leave it sit in 99% alcohol until the glue gums up then try and take the glue off while I dry the brush with a cloth. It usually take a couple of times.

This sounds miserable. But I want to do it!
I bought the Revlon eye-liner today. And I bought the glue about 2 years ago (I think I know where it is - might still be good bc I never opened it).
I guess it's not so bad to use a new brush each gig? Or the idea that it might stay a litl pointy, but still useable, you say? But my biggest concern is bringing smelly spillable alcohol to a gig. Along with the glue and the glitterS. I already have enough to carry. And no extra room on my litl table.

Yes, everything is so space consuming. I have a big festival I'm doing tomorrow and I don't want to forget anything, so I have corralled all my stuff into a certain spot in an extra bedroom. I finally broke down and bought a new table this week for the festival. So now, I'll have 2 tables, one for my face painting and one for my glitter tattoos.

Great idea! Separate.
But how will you carry all this?
Good luck at your event - I should really be getting out of here already. I planned on leaving at 1:00 for my Caricature gig today.
We should all have fun.

I'm finding that just having one of my arm and business cards in my pocket--I'm really marketing! People see the tattoo --ask me "where did I get this"-- I tell them I did it myself--and next thing you know--they're interested in taking my card!

I haven't tried it with a glitter tattoo yet, but a few times I've went out in public with my arm painted up with face paint and I get the impression people might think it's a real tattoo.
