First official face painting jam in Jacksonville
« on: July 13, 2010, 11:39:05 AM »

We had our first official jam last night.  It was put on by Linda Schrenk.  No special theme or anything, just a "meet and greet".  Linda had a collection of Wolfe Brother's books that she brought out for everyone to try some different things.  Some of the designs were from these books and others were each artists own version of face painting designs.  So much beautiful face painting!  Good thing I took lots of pictures!   Grin

These are ones that Bill Gillepsie did.

We even got to see some henna action from Linda's daughter.  I'd never had henna applied before, so I wanted to try it, but then promptly smudged it.  I have a habit of curling my legs under me when sitting down and smeared mine or I would've gotten a picture of it.  Here's a picture of a design she did on someone else.

The face paintings from left to right are, a princess design by Jerrie, Spiderman by Bill and a leopard I believe by Linda.

Here are some by Linda.

Here's the result.  The scary mouth part, I believe it was from one of her Wolfe Brother's books.  She's good!

I didn't have time to finish posting yesterday, so here's a few more.  This was Linda's set up with the Fat Max.

A giraffe I tried from one of the Wolfe Brothers books.

You're welcome! Grin   I thought everyone here would enjoy seeing them.  Especially ones that don't live anywhere near a jam.

Nice work to all! Just did an organization gig last night.
One of their staff was fascinated by what I (we all) do.
She had some facepaints in little pots, so she helped with
the overflow. She was asking lots of questions - I answered.
"Maybe I need to teach classes," I said. She said, "I'll be
your first student!" Isn't all this so much fun? Grin
