SBS - step by step. I just get lazy typing it all out Tongue

Thanks! That first page of photos I had out on the interwebz (lol) was from ages ago, and has not been updated...I really need to get on the website ball. My "real" website isn't in place yet, but these pix are on my FB group!

The hippo: using the red ketchup pump, grab a 260. 4 full pumps, burp. Teddy bear head, minus the nose (so 1.5" bubble, pinch twist, .5" bubble, pinch twist, 1.5" bubble, then attach the last twist to the nozzle). Two 1.5-2" legs. Now's the body: you're going to do a 3 bubble roll-through/bird body roll through (each bubble 2"). Divvy the remainder into two legs and a little bubble for a tail. Get your 6" heart (blush colour), inflate so the heart lobes aren't recognizable, but JUST about to inflate (make sense?). Tie it off, and attach it to the head! Add eyes, nostrils, and (my favourite part) the buck teeth Cheesy

I don't have any books so I can't help you there. I can usually stumble through and figure things out myself from pictures - I got quite a few designs from 3 Ring Entertainers (?) before they changed their website. (www.3ringentertainers.com) He is effing amazing!

You can try checking out some balloon books from the library.  I also swap books on paperbackswap.com.  That's a fun site where you only pay for shipping.

Haha, check out Don Caldwell, too Tongue

I hear you on the books - I ended up buying a couple on Amazon, but I already knew them or didn't see the point in, for example, learning how to make a -balloon - baby. I just watched a lot of youtube, and now I pick pieces apart with my eyes Tongue

Krystal, I think if you wrote a quick e-book with STS's like that some of us would buy it Wink

Haha something to think about Tongue Funny thing is I did get approached at a trade show last week about whether I would want to do a fp book - told him to email me. If I have to put money into it - no, that's not what I'm interested in right now. If there's not cost to me/I get paid (!) then, maybe Tongue

If I get a chance I'll do some SBSs though.

Ooh, just thought of a new topic!

What I would really like someone to make is a laminated flip book with a picture or drawing of the balloon on the front and the step by steps on the back of each card. It would need to be able to be opened so you could just include the cards you wanted to. That way the kids could look through and find what they wanted, and then you could also use it as a cheat sheet. Yes, I could make my own, I just wish someone else would do the work for me!

Great idea about the flip book of instructions for balloons!  I would also love one!  I do keep a cheat sheet with me while I am face painting.  I just slide it under my painting set up, in case I need to get it out. I made a laminated cheat sheet  of my designs that I offer with 48 of the top girl designs on one side and 48 of the top boy designs on the other side. they are only pics about 1" by 1"  - 6 pics across the sheet and 8  rows down. Just enough for me to glance at the chosen design and that way I can refresh my memory! I'm getting old and the memory goes fast! hahahaha

OK, Krystal, I was just looking at your site and your balloons are AWESOME. You totally need to write us a book. Or at least some step by steps. Maybe we could start a Sticky that was just for step by steps and everyone could post theirs there. That would help me out tons! I was looking for iideas at yours, but I'm not sure my balloon challenged brain can even figure it out! I love frogs so I really like that frog hat!
