Snazaroo makes a glitter gel.  If you'd like me to send you a sample I can.  I have on hand either red, blue, silver or gold.  I don't carry it for sell right now, but I do take requests and will carry an item if you ask.

PM your address and which color glitter gel you'd like to try and I'll ship one out.

Thanks!

I have never used the glitter gel before?  Is that the one you can make with hair gel?  Or is that liquid bling? I have never used that before either.

I don't know what they use to make the glitter gel and I haven't really tried it yet, but it's not hair gel or the Bling.  I don't sell it yet either, but I have a few of the Snaz, that I haven't opened.  You can email me your address at sherrys.funfaces@gmail.com MsMollie and I'll send one.  That way you can see it you really like it or not.  If it's something you really love and would like to buy, just let me know and I'll start carrying it.

I did try to make homemade once, from a recipe someone mentioned.  I think they bought Aloe gel at the store and mixed with their cosmetic glitter.  Gary Cole does recommend that you still avoid the eye area and put it above the brow bone and below on the cheek bone.  I never used this on my customers, just wanted to try it.  I ended up sticking with dry glitter.

I tap it on with my finger and after going to the convention, I sometimes do it the way the Wolfe Brothers demo'd.  I stick the end of the brush in a bit of water, tap.  Then dip it in the glitter and roll it across the face in places where you'd like the glitter to stick.  Sometimes it works great and sometimes it clumps up.  I may need some practice with the technique.

As far as I know Mollie, it is perfectly safe if you get some in your eye that s why it is so important that we use cosmetic grade Glitter so it just washes away with tears and isn't sharp like craft glitter. The liquid bling is good but takes an age to dry. Smiley

well it isn't so bad if it isn't windy, but here lately it's been pretty breezy...and i always avoid the eyes...i don't even use the poofer bottle...the glitter is sooo fine that it sticks like crazy....i usually use my pinky and put it on and tell them to close their eyes and keep them closed...i did find some glitter eyeliner like mascara and it was clear with gold or silver...still, i don't like it because it doesn't spread like i want....when yu watch some of the videos on ytube...they always use very sparkley glitter....i don't know what it is but it sure is sparkley....you have to have that bling or you aint got a thang! Cool right??lol Grin

are you using cosmetic grade glitter?  I use a poofer most of the time, once in awhile my first and second finger, but I love the poofers

Yes on the job I use puffer bottles all the time quick so quick. When practising or when I have more time I use my finger to put it where I want it, I think Vi sometimes uses one of those dotter wands too which is a good idea. Smiley

Have your client tip their head back and use the poofer upside down!  one or two poofs will cover your design

Yes that is a bit what I do Gina, tilt the head back a little with the help of a finger on there chin I do a couple of puffs on the lips and then I puff and move it quite quickly around the face clockwise to get a general covering all over, everyone goes WOW as pretty glitter floats every where, the little girls and big girls love it. Smiley And if I want it in a particular spot I remove the cap and dab a little on my finger tip and place it where I want. Grin

what do you do when it falls on the lashes? i know it's silly, but it always happens to me....i usually have them turn their heads sideways, i take the palm of my hand and totally cover their eye area and then i put the glitter on...i do it for both sides...so far it's worked ok....

I know logically it's cosmetic, but I still worry a bit about the eyes.  I have them shut their eyes, but I don't like it when little ones will sometimes peek out or open their eyes unexpectedly.  I might try your technique Mollie.  Why didn't I think of that?!   Grin

quit often when I have the little one tip their head back so I can poof a cloud of glitter on, I tell them to close there eyes and I will tell them when to open them!  But for the small children, quit often when I have them tip there heads back I place my first two fingers  over there eyes to keep them closed and to apply the glitter, poof the glitter close to where you want it, I do mostly on the forehead or cheek area, I try to avoid the eye area.
