Time for our next contest! Outer Space! This can be what we see in outer space... the planets, galaxies, etc or possibly "it came from outer space"... aliens or creatures from outer space. It's your interpretation, so get creative and play with it. I'm looking forward to what y'all come up with! Rules This will run until June 4th. I like the idea of submitting it in step by step form... between 3 - 5 pics. Only 3 entries per person. These can be cheek art, partial or full face, but must be on the face. When it comes time to vote, enlisting friends or family to vote for your entry is not permitted. We want the votes to be for members true favorites, so everyone has a fair shot. Prize For first place the prize will be the Snazaroo Professional Walk Around Palette. Here's a link to it on my site: http://stores.funfacepaint.com/-strse-144/Snazaroo-Professional-Walk-Around/Detail.bokIf the winner is outside the U.S., you will need to help pay for shipping, because this is a big item and likely pricey to ship. Thanks!

When thinking about the theme I got my idea from a memory of watching those spray paint guys at the festivals and markets who do those great moonscapes and outer space pictures really fast layering the colours and using all kinds of odd things for shapes. I followed the idea pretty closely using a sponge instead of a spray can, the only brush work was for the lips, eyelids and stars. All of the paints are the basic snazaroo colours, the gold is wolfe mettallix and the white is diamond FX. 1. I sponged on patches of colour from homemade rainbow cakes, keeping the lightest colours at the top. 2. I used a fairly dry sponge to get the black on, holding coins and small lids over the colour patches and sponging away from them. (I had to switch the sponge from right to left hand and the hand holding the coin or lid in order to go all the way around it.) 3. I painted my lips and eyelids gold and then added some liquid bling. 4. I finished it off with stars and meteors.

I don't know why but when I post it never keeps my order, the top pic should be the 4th and the finished product is after the description(I did do that on purpose). Wow Sherry, what a prize! What a great theme - now to think carefully about how to use my other entries.

ohhhhhhhh! very nice designs! Hmmm I have about 7 ideas! Gotta narrow it down and figure out what one I want to start on! Maybe I can do some thing on Monday or Tuesday! I have a long weekend of painting to start tomorrow. And Sunday well Sunday is our day girls! Happy Mothers Day to each and Every one of you, and if anyone is like me I lost my mom in 2003. So this day has always been very hard for me. But she lives in my heart every day. So Mom, Happy Mothers Day, you were and are still the best Mom a gal could ever of had, I miss you with all my heart and soul. Until we meet Mom, I love you, always and ever, your baby girl Gina

Julie, this is a great entry for the contest! I love the colors. Great job way to go! I have about 7 different ideas that I am pondering and thinking of doing, I just need to narrow it down. I love our forum, and I love all my forum family, we are a very close group! Way to go again Julie.
