So I know everyone here has other passions and talents. I'm interested in what other arts and crafts you do!
Don't know if any knows, but I do extreme hair extensions and henna on the side. On my blackberry right now so no pics to posts, but I will as soon as I get a chance.
So do you sew? A scrapbooking genis? Any soap makers out there?
Let us know what your other talents are!

I used to be a hairdresser, but grew tired of it. I can't wait to see your pics. Your extreme hair extensions makes me think of the crazy hair that some people offer.

I LOVE scrapbooking. I have about as much invensted in scrapbooking as I do face painting. Although, to be honest, I have not scrapbooked since my daughter was just a Newborn. She just turned 4 a week ago. I use to do it when she napped. But, now naps and sanity are a thing of the past and it has been put on the back burner. I do have approx. 3 books complete. And being the perfectionist that I am....many people have complemented me and inquired into pricing for me to create scrapbooks with their photos. So, that is flattering. But, no time. I would rather work on my own pics if I had the time. I also love photography. Just learning but, I kinda have an eye for it. I think that most people that are creative in the arts wil have alot of the same interests. Creativity is not something that is learned. You have to have it in your blood and can only further that talent with training. just my opinion. So, that is me in a nutshell as far as hobbies/interests. Kim

Glitterfly Faces - I would love to see some of your photography!
jubob - I tried to crochet too! I dont think I am ambidexerous enough to do it though... everything comes out lop-sided
mrsito - cool - you're quite a little crafter! I wanna see your stuff! Do you sell it on Etsy at all?

Hi Ann - Hi Forum = Selling is as much an activity as just doing stuff. I've been sooooooo busy lately. With my regular work stuff as well as a LOT of exercising. I'm sooooooo into that. Fascinated.
And, artsy just like we all here, I'm also dreaming of making a special oil painting - exaggerated face/wild composition. I used to paint like so well, so easy. I used to teach it - My favorite was an alla-prima technique. Realistic and painterly. Then I got away from it - the years just piled up - and the next thing you know, I tried to apply my old painterly to my current exaggerated drawings, and, yeow - I was shocked. I couldn't do it - lost the finesse - lost the confidence. So now, as I'm gathering reference materials to use in my new creation, I'm feeling insecure. Will I be able to do it? Will I disappoint myself and then be unable to do something simpler with the reference material because I'd get burned out from frustration?
Sooooooooooom yes. I do lots of this type of stuff. And everything grabs me, becomes a major event.

I've always wanted to crochet. Who knew you could learn it on Youtube! I probably should have known. I've tried following books, but gave up quickly... seeing a real person doing something is soooo much easier. (I've also always wanted to knit) Love the pictures Vi... the henna is gorgeous!

I also do woodcraft! Before I began face painting in July of 2009, I had a very large woodcraft business for over 30 years! I did around 25 to 30 shows a year and also worked in a factory full time making guitar strings! I had to stop and go to a lighter art, because of health problems with my back and arms. But I still go out in the garage and work! Nothing can stop me from art! I also love to do tole painting, landscape pictures, and doodle! I doodle on EVERYTHING!
