Just wondering what you all are charging for glitter tattoo parties. I can do 25-30 tattoos in 2 hours not rushing, i dont know whats the normal. also, should glitter party fees be the same as face painting party fees or what?  any ideas? thoughts?
 thanks so much!!

I charge the same for glitter tattoo parties as I do for face painting.  $90 for one hour and $75 each additional.  If you go through a lot of stencils, you might add in an additional fee to cover that.

I do $100 for the first hour, and $50 for each additional hour.

is it how ever many you can do in 1hour?  if you only had 10-15 kids would u still charge your hour fee since you will more then likely finish up before an hour?
???right now ive been doing $75 for 2hours b/c im from a small town and people just had no clue about glitter tats. but i think i need to bump my price a bit this year. at festivals i charge $5 and $6 for large ones, which seems fair to me.

If you were doing PPT typically the going rate is $5 per tattoo.
So if you can do 30 (tattoos) x 5 (cost each)=$150 for two hours

I definitely think you could raise your prices a bit. At your current price and speed the average pay per tat is $2.50. The cost per tat for you is about .63 so if you take that out then you are only getting paid $1.87 per tat....you are worth more than that =)

Do u feel painting parties should cost more then glitter parties b/c its "harder work"  ??  im having a hard time getting a grasp on this whole price thing. i do want to make money but i dont want to rip people off either. its easier for me to give quotes to festivals and big events compared to b-day/private parties.  is there any rule of thumb, should these "private" parties be better pricing for people. say u paint $5faces at the  fair, should what u charge a private party be more or less per person when broken down?
Also what do u do if u do a private party where people dont show and ur paid for 2hrs and u only do 5-10people? would u adjust ur price or is that just the chance they take booking you?

any and all thoughts welcome, thanks Smiley

The absolute lowest price I would go for a private party would be $50 per hour.
Painting parties should not cost more, because your supplies cost more. You ALWAYS use a stencil so you will ALWAYS have to buy more supplies. Paints last longer. Do not discount yourself or your time.
You should not lower rates if guests do not show up at a party--this is not your fault--that is absolutely the chance they are taking.

Some people charge more for corporate events. It really is your own preference.

I paint and twist along with a story and song. I charge a flat rate for birthday parties for up to 12 kids and $5 extra per kid over that whether I'm there for an hour or two. I'm usually there for about 1 1/2 hours. I charge about the same amount as the museum for their 'kids in the museum' birthday program and though it is more than I would ever spend for entertainment for a child's birthday, I don't want to be priced so regular folks can't afford me. My corporate rate is by the hour and is higher for several reasons, the number of people is much more variable, the setting is less relaxed than a birthday party, it's easier to leave a birthday party and there is more money available to spend.
