Man, I wish that I could see well enough without my glasses to paint such detail on my own face. Kudos to you!

Thank you! I do wear glasses, but I must tell you, I keep them in their case! Daaaaa pretty dumb huh! I am slower now compared to years ago when I used to paint, it takes me a little bit long and I'm alittle bit slower! HAHAHAHAH but I guess that all comes with age! To be honest I hav to get right up on top of the mirror to see well! And I have a real bright desk lamp right next to me! Ahhhhh I hate getting old!

Hello! I haven't been on line much, just been getting things ready for the arrival of my new first grandbaby, due any day now! A little girl, her name is Hannah! I would like to enter this picture into the FUN WITH RAINBOW CONTEST. All the paints that I used for this design are Diamond FX Metallic Paints! I love the way they sparkle!

Do you have trbl washing off the blues and greens, Regina?
Or do you just paint over it - lol.
No, really. I have seen that your face is all clear when you put on your rose-paintings and stuff. So I wonder if you have to do some sort of special washing after using the DiamondFX blues and greens?

I don't know how Gina does it, but I do know there are ways to remove the stubborn colors of DFX and the green of Snaz. I first learned the trick from Mark Reid, when I took his class. He said to use shampoo. After an intial wash, apply the shampoo directly to the skin and he said you may need to do it more than once. He was right! It looks like it's not going to come off, but if you repeat it a few times it does. I've also heard you can use makeup remover for the stains left, or baby oil or olive oil. I haven't tried these myself.
I still can't get Diamond FX black off and it ends up looking like I have eyeliner on, so I never use it around children's or most people's eyes.

Oh I have been meaning to answer the question of paint staining! I never have any problem of getting the paint off me now! And believe me I paint myself alote! I DID in the beginning! Also I would scrub so hard, my face would hurt for awhile! I walked around with a cast of colors on me! This is what I do now, had to find a way for it to work with me, since I paint on myself so much! Some times I paint up to 5 or 6 designs in a short time! So I do not paint over any design, I always go and wash it off! For me, I take a soft towel, get it pretty pretty warm/hot, and lay it on my face, like a compress. I never rub just pat! And it feels great! And it seems that when I remove the towel, most the design will be on the towel! I them take shampoo and put some in my hands and then work it on my face all over with my fingers, the suds will then turn into the colors! then I rinse my face with warm water, and normally everything will be gone! If I use a washcloth after that I never rub, if I have paint around and close to my eyes, I put alittle shampoo on the wash cloth just kind of pat! This keeps my face from getting raw feeling! Shampoo works wonders on removing the face paints. I tried baby wipes, for removing the paint on me, it just kind of smeared it all over, I think the warm/hot compress really does the trick for removing the paint.
